Lin Wu carefully observed through the scope and saw that there was at least one scientist inside the white villa, with two soldiers standing on the rooftop, guns aimed at a small path leading to the villa. Could the first meeting point actually be the main assembly point?

Soon everyone arrived at the bridgehead where Lin Wu was. Seeing everything in front of them, they all felt the urge to retreat. Maya approached Lin Wu, "We can get across."

Lin Wu said, "We’ll die."

Maya explained, "This environment limits the zombies’ vision; the main danger comes from sound. We can advance cautiously, step by step."

Lin Wu replied, "Once we get in there and make some noise, we’re in big trouble."

Fire Dance’s voice came from the side, "What are you guys whispering about?"

Lin Wu turned to look at Fire Dance, seeing that she hadn’t changed much after more than a year. The etiquette and dignity instilled by her family mixed with her lively nature, these two elements fused together as if she had a split personality—liveliness mixed with dignity, gentleness carrying a touch of mischief. Lin Wu’s evaluation of her was that she was an odd mix, a description Fire Dance especially disliked.

Maya shook her head in response and continued, "There’s another route, by crossing through the inside of the building."

Lin Wu looked around for a while, "Let’s just go home and poke at something that’ll scream."
