Leaning against an abandoned car, Lin Wu could see a zombie inside the shop, standing motionless right at the entrance. Its field of view was very broad, and getting close would mean being detected. Maya signaled, and Lin Wu took down the zombie with a Silencer. After the zombie fell, the two waited for a while, but there was no movement inside.
Lin Wu and Maya crept to the shop’s entrance and crouched down. Lin Wu, maintaining Stealth, peered inside and whispered into Maya’s ear with a very low voice, "5 meters, 10 o’clock direction, facing us." The reason there was no movement was not that there were no zombies inside, nor that the zombies didn’t check the noise, but because the zombies inside could see directly and stood still without checking the dead zombie’s body.
Assuming the shop was empty and entering it would likely trigger a wave of attacks.
Maya whispered in Lin Wu’s ear, and he retreated to a car in the middle of the street. Maya stood up, aimed, fired, and immediately returned to Stealth after killing the zombie. Lin Wu used the scope to check the shop, confirming that no zombies were approaching the fallen one, and made a safe gesture to Maya.
Cautiously advancing, it took a lot of time, but the two finally reached the location of White Point. During this journey, they came close to exposure twice, but thanks to Maya’s timely backup shots, no zombie horde was triggered.
