Chapter 469: A faint whisper
"Princess," Sebastian whispered when Elliana hid her face in the bedsheets, not lifting it even to breathe.
"Don’t look at me. I am truly ashamed," Elliana whispered in her muffled voice, and Sebastian, who was feeling aroused, smiled on her back before hiding his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent.
"Okay. We won’t mention it. Now lift your head and breathe," Sebastian sidened her hair before kissing her cheeks, making her lift her head so that she was facing away from him.
Sebastian sat on the side of the bed, looking down at the tent formed on his pants with a dejected sigh.
’Calm down, soldier. It’s not the right time,’ he thought to himself before he pulled out his phone and dialed Lucas’s number.
"We don’t need to go to the meeting anymore. My better half, my wife, brought all the information about the rogue camps we needed. Call Ambrose, we will be leaving soon," Sebastian said proudly before he ended the call when he saw her shifting to her side of the bed.
"Can I ask you something, princess?" Sebastian asked, sitting beside her before he took her foot and placed them on his lap as she leaned on the headboard.
"Hmm, what is it?" Elliana asked, distracted by his fingers that were playing with her toes, the red on her cheeks still visibly there.
"Are you... Is there something that is troubling you these days? Anything or anyone bothering you?" Sebastian asked, referring to how Garry said the princess had tears in her eyes when he saw her.
Elliana looked at the man with quirked brows.
"Why would you ask that, Mr. Marino?" She asked, masking her emotions immediately that didn’t go unnoticed by Sebastian who was observing her.
