Everyone left after treating her and ensuring she was fine and didn’t need anyone’s help anymore.
Since the ship wasn’t sailing for another hour or two, they asked her to rest, and Elliana didn’t rebuke. She also thought that resting was a better option.
As lovely as she felt while dancing with Nathaniel, it turned out to be quite more painful than she had thought. Nathaniel could heal her wounds, but rather he chose to keep her in pain so that she could stay distracted from her heartbreak.
’What a prick! Does he really think I am the kind of girl who will keep crying for something that isn’t in her hands? I knew the truth before it happened. It just caught me by surprise. My heart isn’t aching that much, but my knees surely are,’ Elliana moaned in pain before taking a deep breath.
She looked at her phone, which was vibrating on the nightstand, and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"I am there. At the door," Marcello said, and Elliana smirked.
Everything was working as she wanted.
"Before telling you the passcode, let me warn you. That elderly couple you are knocking at the door of are actually well-trained wolves," Elliana said.
Marcello, who was having weird thoughts, and had been sensing something was wrong from the moment he entered this village-like thing, gulped.
He stepped back from the lone house and turned around.
