Chapter 96: Dance on fire
"You mean to say you danced with him because you were afraid?" Alcinder probed more.
"No. Because I was startled, this was the first time I attended a party in my life. I didn’t know things like these happen. I thought Daniel would be the only one to dance with me because he is my partner," Elliana was visibly confused about everything, and Alcinder sighed.
Maybe he read too much into things about her once again. This dumb girl doesn’t even know the basics about parties.
Though he would agree that the man was indeed dangerous, any human is bound to feel pressured when met with such force. Even he, as a strong vampire, knew not to step ahead and mess up what that vampire was doing.
There was no doubt that he would’ve stepped ahead if that mysterious vampire would’ve tried to hurt Elliana, but the man was quite gentle for the kind of aura he was executing.
And did he come here just for that? The first dance? Or was it the first dance with the girl singing? Everything was confusing, and Alcinder took a deep breath.
Maybe he should stop suspecting this girl too much. It’s probably her charm that attracts every one toward her.
"Anyway, let’s not ruin our moods anymore. The voting will start again," Samantha reminded them, but Elliana’s gaze kept shifting to the exit from where Mr. Marino left earlier.
What was that all about? Was there really no meaning behind this? Was it just a mere coincidence? She sighed before turning to her left, where her gaze met Madeline’s hatred-filled eyes.
"Sure. Let’s see," Elliana smiled, letting Madeline know that she won’t give in to her tricks anymore.
As she was looking at Madeline, her gaze met Aditya, who was looking at her expectantly.
