Chapter 53: Don’t look at her
He gazed into her eyes that immediately shied away from him, and a red tint appeared on her cheeks and ears. His gaze then moved to her lips. The way she was chewing her lower lip, he was becoming tempted to touch them, and that’s exactly what he did.
He rubbed her lower lip with his thumb before raising his gaze to her eyes. She immediately looked away as soon as her eye met him.
Seeing her acting so timid and bashful, Sebastian wondered what she would do when she found she tried to kiss him in her sleep. And if it hadn’t been for the mask, it would’ve become their first kiss.
Sebastian grabbed her cheeks between his thumb and index finger, making her look at him from under her lashes.
She was flushed. There was no doubt about it. The way the prince looked at her with so much emotion today made her ecstatic, and she wanted to look into his eyes forever. She wanted to touch his face and let him see into her eyes.
She wanted to show him that she was affectionate to him and had taken him as one of her only alive family members after her father, that he meant something to her, and she was willing to change and do anything to gain his trust.
With a little courage, she finally raised her hand and was about to cup his cheeks when he suddenly held her hand, shocking her.
She looked away timidly, afraid she made a mistake.
"I... I am -" Elliana couldn’t complete her words because the next thing she knew, the prince placed her hand on his chest, right above his heart.
He unbuttoned the top three buttons of his shirt, his gaze moving from her eyes not even once as he had done in the room, and she tried to take advantage of the situation. He wanted her to be aware of everything she was doing.
So now, he wanted her to place her hand on his chest while her eyes were wide open. She looked at him with wide eyes.
