Chapter 17: Final Decision
The gate to the dungeon hummed, its sound tinged with a disorienting screech. If he didn't leave now, he knew he'd be trapped inside the dungeon forever.
He sprinted towards the gate, barely making it through as it closed shut behind him at the last second.
"Phew, that was close." He let out a sigh of relief and lay on the cold ground, struggling to catch his breath. He hadn't expected a D-rank dungeon to push him this far. It was a clear reminder—he still lacked power.
"But that all ends here, from now on this is my Solo Leveling."
"ARGH!" He let out a loud groan, unable to ignore the sharp pain that had plagued him throughout the fight with the dungeon boss.
Unable to endure the pain any longer, he forced himself to his feet and staggered towards a chair in the classroom, each step a struggle.
At first, he intended to wrap his wounds with bandages, but then a thought struck him, there might be something in the system that could help. Without hesitation, he called out for the status window.
"Status."
