Chapter 179: Watching anime
The late afternoon sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm, golden glow across the quiet Academy dorms.
Standing in front of Dhayun’s dorm room, he raised his hand, hesitating for a split second before knocking on the door.
In the next second, the door opened and a punch directly fell on his gut.
"You damn fucking bastard!"
"Urgh..." Brandon grunted, his hand instinctively flying to his stomach as he took a step back, doubling over slightly.
Han Dhayun stood in the doorway, her hair pulled into a messy bun, strands falling loose to frame her flushed, scowling face.
She wore a loose, faded t-shirt with a pixelated anime character printed on it, the hem hanging low over a pair of well-worn shorts that showed off her legs.
Her bare feet tapped impatiently against the floor, and her arms were crossed tightly over her chest.
"Dhayun..." Brandon started, his voice a little hoarse as he rubbed his stomach, his lips curling into a sheepish smile despite the ache.
"I called you yesterday," She took a step closer, her hands dropping to her hips as she glared up at him.
"And you’re only showing up now? What, were you too busy with your new life to bother answering me?"
