Standing in front of the house, Elize and Ravene looked at the car as it slowly stopped in front of the yard.
The door slid open as Brandon and Charlotte stepped out of the car.
Looking at Brandon, a sweet smile appeared on Elize’s face "Kael..."
She simply walked right up to him and stopped only a step away,
"You look tired," she murmured, reaching up to brush a strand of windblown hair from his forehead.
Brandon relaxed slightly under her touch. "Long day."
Ravene gave a nod to Charlotte, who returned it coolly.
Elize took his hand without asking and gently guided him toward the porch. "Come inside," she said, already half-turning.
"We made tea. Ravene even baked something."
