Chapter 46: New Update

A sharp slap landing on my face was what pulled me out of my sleep as I gasped while jolting awake, right before cold water was dumped over my face, making me choke on the water. As I quickly sat up while choking hard, my eyes settled on the people responsible for waking me up this way.
Adele, Gina and Angelo’s betrothed. They were all standing by my bedside and I was trying to wonder why they were right here in my bedroom. That was the moment it hit me that I didn’t sleep in my bed last night. I remember crying then passing out at a point, but right now I was in my bed, under the covers.
I peeked underneath the sheets and let out a relieved sigh to see that I was still in the clothes I wore last night. But who was the one that brought me here last night? I haven’t the slightest Ife’s and I’d really like to know.
"You fool! Get off the bed this instant!" Adele was the one to yell this time around, dragging me out of my thoughts. At that moment, she poured another glass of ice water in my face.
That was the very moment I saw red and I instantly rolled out of the bed, determined to pound her to the ground. Before I could get to her, a large man suddenly stepped in my line of sight and I stumbled back, falling right into my bed. I gaped up at the impossibly large and tall man, I hadn’t even noticed him before till this very moment.
"What the fuck is this? Why are you all in here?" I demanded angrily as I looked between all of them.
Adele was gloating as she emerged from the back of the man that just prevented me from beating her to death.
"Well, if you must know, this is our personal body guard." She informed me with a proud grin, while pointing at Gina and Angelo’s betrothed bride as well.
