Chapter 23: Unexpected Announcement

"I already told you I’m not jealous. I was only curious is all." She snapped. I was glad the music was still playing and that it wasn’t so low, else people would have been able to overhear us.
"If you say so." I told her and she glared at me before glancing around, her eyes wandering over the staring crowd.
"I’m tired. When is this dance gonna end?" She grumbled, looking really adorable right now, but I refrained from pointing that out.
"Not yet, I’m yet to get enough of you."
Her cheeks reddened and she refused to meet my gaze till her cheeks returned to their normal color, then she was clearing her throat as she peered up at me.
"Aren’t people gonna find this weird? I was introduced as Damon’s mistress and yet I’ve been dancing with you." She questioned, head tilted a little in clear confusion.
"Nah, most of them know we all bed one woman most of the time. To them, you might be Damon’s mistress, but he shares you with us."
As expected, her cheeks colored again as she spluttered.
"T- that’s insane! I can’t believe everyone is thinking that about me right now. That’s messed up, irritating and so humiliating."
I snorted out a laugh before leveling her with a serious look. "It’s not though. So many girls would give an arm and leg to be in our bed."
