Chapter 88: Money that can’t be bought.
Good day, people of Linye. This message is directly written by your prince, Sylus Von Astrodial. As you all know, there have been a few changes in the city since I decided to take over as the new ruler.
Because of this, I can understand why some things may be a bit confusing, but you need not worry; everything I do is for the betterment of this city. In a span of three days, I will be taking in new workers willing to work for the city’s growth. Mind you, this is also a good way to earn a living.
Every town will have a designated station where you can register your name for whatever position you wish to carry out. be it builder, miner, blacksmith, farmer, or whatever the case may be. All you need to do is fill out your name, and you will be given a badge if you are qualified.
Once that is done, tasks will be assigned to you for the month. Successfully complete them, and you will be paid a minimum of 200 gold pieces monthly and 3 gold pieces daily, depending on the progress of each individual.
Remember, whatever you do is solely for the betterment of the kingdom.
...
This message was plastered all around Linye, and just as Sylus had intended, young men between the ages of 14 and 40 took to the streets to sign up for the job.
No one wanted to miss out on a chance to start earning three gold coins a day, which would be enough to feed them for three whole days. The older men did the same, although they received a less demanding workload.
But of all things, Zani was truly shocked when she found out about the flyers, and it wasn’t just her.
Alfred had the same reaction when he saw it.
They were both standing in front of Sylus’s working table, with Zani holding the paper out toward her prince.
"My lord, what is this?"
