The Royal Revenge

Chapter 143: Extremely Annoying

Henry and Cordelia’s return had been full of surprises and revelations. Aleksander seemed to be amused about something, whispering into Henry’s ears and making his old attendant blush madly it almost looked like he was choking.

Elys disregarded her husband and his loyal attendant, and sat down with Cordelia as she reported the results of her mission.

"So, how did it go?" Elys asked.

She poured Cordelia a cup of tea, but noticed it had already gone cold from the time she had it served and met with her probable ladies in waiting.

"On second thought, Cordelia, Henry," Elys said as she put the tea kettle down, "Go get yourselves a hot shower and change into dry clothes first. We can’t afford to have both of you sick."

"It is not a problem, your majesty. I already lost precious time when I was delayed of my return," Cordelia insisted. "I can rest after I report to you my findings."

Elys’ eyes turned serious and a scary air surrounded her. Cordelia noted how dark her face had turned with her insistence, and the old woman clenched her teeth in apprehension.

"You will do as I told you, Cordelia," Elys spoke. "Now go before I lose my temper."

Elysianne raised her hand and pointed a finger for Cordelia to get out of her chambers. She turned to Aleksander and Henry next, raised a brow at them, and Henry quickly understood he was expected to do the same as well.

"Go, Henry," Aleksander pushed his attendant out, "Don’t make my queen mad."

"I am not mad," Elys scowled.
