Chapter 86: The Truth Part 2
Aleksander couldn’t help but feel overly self-conscious at the situation they were in now. Elys had pushed him to the ground with a swift move, and she didn’t even have to use a lot of force to do so.
"What is she doing?" Henry gasped in horror.
The attendant was infuriated at what the slave princess had done to the prince. He wanted to, but he couldn’t really make a move to defend the prince.
He had tried to stand up and storm towards Elys and have her chastised for her impudent behavior, her feral manners, but one look from Cordelia and he found himself frozen in place instead.
"Don’t you even dare to disturb the two of them while they are arguing, Henry," Cordelia said as she continued to focus on Elys and Aleksander’s body language from afar. "What could you do anyway?"
"Tch," the old man clicked his tongue.
"Just what I thought," Cordelia smirked, "it is not our place to butt in. Prince Aleksander isn’t stupid enough to let the princess push him. He must have a reason why he isn’t retaliating, just you wait – be patient."
"Whatever it is that they are talking about, I just hope that they settle it quickly," Henry said as he sat down to let himself dry under a small ray of light. "We don’t even know if the Eastern people had started to search for us now with tracker hounds."
"Oh, I bet they already have," the old woman said with certainty.
