"I can’t believe that Master Kasper was the only solution for my misery. Who would have thought I’d manage to mark you, Atlas? Now, we can fully communicate through this coupling bond!" Ezme beamed as she gently touched the mark she’d made on his neck.
[Can you hear me now?] Ezme tried speaking through their bond. Atlas nodded and asked, "How do I talk back to you through it?"
Ezme chuckled, explaining, "Just say anything you want to me through the bond, and I’ll receive it. It’s like talking out loud, but you’ll do it inside your head, and it will automatically connect with mine."

Ezme’s face reddened, her heart racing as it always did around her husband. Only he could make her feel this way.
"Goodness, you’re making me blush," she mumbled, snuggling closer to his warmth.

"Try me... I’m sure I’ll last long," Atlas growled, making Ezme chuckle. She knew better—he was human, after all, and wouldn’t be able to keep up without a little help.
