Chapter 279: Breathless**
As soon as Atlas finished his major tasks, he rushed home to check on Ezme. Master Kasper had promised the night before to examine her condition and see what could be done.
When Atlas arrived, he saw Master Kasper walking outside, accompanied by a servant.
"Master Kasper," Atlas greeted him with concern, and the older man nodded in acknowledgment.
"How is she?" Atlas asked anxiously.
Kasper smiled reassuringly. "It’s mostly psychological, Atlas. That’s why she’s been struggling to control her venom. There’s likely a story behind this—one that you should ask her about."
Kasper then gave Atlas a teasing grin. "But I have good news. I managed to inactivate the vampire venom in her body temporarily. It’s safe for her to feed on you to satiate her heat and hunger during this time."
"Oh," Atlas said, feeling a wave of relief. He was glad to hear this, knowing he could now help Ezme without fear. This way, she wouldn’t have to endure the pain of her vampire heat alone.
He bowed deeply to Master Kasper. "Thank you so much, Master Kasper, for your help!"
Kasper chuckled. "Ah, but you know my services don’t come for free!"
