Chapter 269: Stake my claim
At the Convel Territory.
Going on ahead with her own plans, Raine didn’t even bother with making her presence a secret as she drove straight into the Convel Society Territory with Lyne in tow. And surprisingly enough, things were smooth sailing for the first few minutes that they spent making their way through enemy territory.
That was until they finally went past the main gate.
"Huh," Raine shrugged as she scoffed, eyeing the sizeable number of werewolves surrounding their car. "I guess Boris can’t do anything beyond letting us enter the main gate."
"He already did more than what he can realistically risk," Lyne muttered beside her. "He’s still technically an exile, but that’s hopefully about to change with Nathan in charge."
"I see," Raine chuckled, her eyes lackadaisically roaming the surrounding enemies swarming their position. "Well, at least we don’t have to waste a perfectly good car ramming the gate down."
"I suppose so, Boss."
The Moon Clan Princess simply let off a smile as she turned off her engines. Seeing as they couldn’t exactly just kill anyone anymore without inciting a return to hostilities, she put on her best grin as she unlocked her door.
"You can wait here for a bit, Lyne," she smirked as she pushed the door open. "Unless, of course, you want to tag along with me doing something that might very well get us killed?"
