Chapter 26: Little Sis
Arya’s face was still pale when she got out of the car. She stood at the same spot for a long time and when she walked, her legs felt weak. Her mind was blank. ’What did I get myself into?’ she asked herself inwardly.
Once more, she tried to call Kay, but the phone was still off, so she just left him a message that he must call her back urgently as soon as he saw the message.
She heard a man’s voice, "Miss, are you alright? Do you need help?" Arya shook her head absentmindedly. When she got inside the hospital, she firstly sat on a waiting chair to compose herself.
She inhaled and exhaled deeply.
After sitting for about five minutes, she stood up and walked to her little sister’s room. She did not go inside immediately and just watched through the door window how her mom was feeding Reese.
Tears fell down from her eyes when she saw how lively her little sister was. She was back to being a talkative kid who always asked too many questions.
She was so happy to see her little sister full of energy again. Last time when she saw Reese, she was weak and in pain.
Right now, when she saw her sister in such a good condition, all the worries in her heart had been gone. She felt relieved, as a huge burden was lifted off her shoulders.
Suddenly, Reese’s gaze went to the door and her eyes widened in excitement as soon as she saw her. "Big Sissss!!!!" She heard the little girl shout as she opened her small little arms for Arya to hug her.
