Chapter 25: Marking You As Mine
"What is this?" Arya murmured. She was so stunned that she didn’t know what to say. A platinum ring with a big diamond was sparkling right before her eyes.
Ryu smiled and said, "That’s for you." He stood up to get the ring and walked to Arya, who also stood up and suddenly slapped her face.
"Ouch, that hurts." He heard her murmur. Ryu was caught off guard with her childish action and laughed out of the blue.
"You are not dreaming, okay! So, stop that already," Ryu spoke still chuckling.
Then, he took her hand and put the ring on her finger. "It fits you well." He said, smiling lovingly at her.
Arya, who just came back to reality, after being on the cloud nine for a minute, said. "I can’t accept this. It’s too much."
She was about to take off the ring, but Ryu stopped her. "Will you stop exaggerating? Nothing is too much for you. This ring is my mark. I’m marking you as mine, never take it off, or I will be really angry, okay?"
He was looking intently into her eyes, it was a look of warning, and Arya suddenly felt that burying herself under the ground would have been much better at that moment. Then, she heard him say, "This ring is considered our engagement ring, so whoever see this on you will know that you are already taken."
Arya was looking at the ring on her hand, which was still held by Ryu. "Isn’t this a little bit early? You barely know me. I told you not to get so serious." She murmured.
