Chapter 147: Do Things Properly
Keira spent most of her days at different places, gathering information, investigating leads, writing and reporting stories ’live’ or ’on the scene.’
Occasionally, she was recording her news stories, sometimes called packages, for a later broadcast.
Being a field reporter required a great deal of stamina, physical fitness, and unflagging self-motivation, which she was glad she had learned at the Military Academy.
She checked her social media profile and noticed that she had gained a lot of followers. Despite her workload, she was trying to keep her social media profile updated.
If she wanted to get noticed, she knew that the best way was to be active on social networking websites. To increase her visibility and build a name for herself in the industry, she needed a strong and sustained online presence.
Also, she had to maintain a presence on social media networking sites to cover live events, provide additional information for readers and viewers, promote their station, and most importantly, engage with her audience.
She laughed, seeing that her mom had commented to all her posts and reports.
"When did she become so active like this, ah?" she mumbled with a grin.
She felt really happy seeing how her mom was proud of her. Her mom was often calling her, upon watching her on television. Although Keira only had limited screen time in each report, her mom was praising her a hundred times.
As usual, today, she was outside for action. She was at the police station, waiting to get a new scoop.
"Hey, do you know Thea from somewhere? I mean, like personally or somehow. Why do you two have this grudge against each other? Or maybe she just doesn’t like you?" said JV who sat beside her, and gave the bottle of water which he brought to her.
