Oops Alpha, Wrong Luna

Chapter 14

Kael’s POV.

I sat at the high table in the Fang Pack’s throne chamber, the air filled with the smell of roasted meat and wine.

The welcome party was loud, full of laughter and clinking glasses, dancers spinning across the floor, their shadows flickering in the torchlight.

My Luna, Celeste—or so everyone thought—had slipped out moments ago, her silver gown catching the light as she left.

I’d let her go, figuring she needed a moment to breathe. This place, with its staring wolves and heavy expectations, could choke anyone.

Especially her. Aria. Not Celeste. I knew the truth, had known it since the mate bond sparked that first night.

Her scent, her eyes, the way she trembled under my touch—it wasn’t Celeste. It was Aria, the Omega hiding behind her sister’s face.

I shifted in my seat, my fingers tight around a goblet I hadn’t touched. My eyes scanned the room, restless.

Something felt off, like a storm brewing just out of sight. Then I saw him. Alpha Nicholas, perched on his throne like a king, his silver-streaked hair glinting, his dark eyes sharp and cunning.

He’d been watching Aria all night, his gaze too steady, too intense. It wasn’t just admiration. He knew something, or suspected it.

My jaw clenched, my wolf stirring, a low growl rumbling deep inside me. I didn’t trust him. Not one bit.
