Cold metal dug painfully into his wrists and ankles. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn’t move.Standing before him was a woman. Her face remained blurred, as though hidden beneath a thick layer of mist.
Yet one thing was crystal clear. She was merciless. Again and again, she mercilessly beat him.
Each strike sent unbearable pain coursing through his body. Patrick screamed in agony.
His desperate cries echoed endlessly through the empty darkness. "I’ll kill you! I’ll definitely take revenge on you!"
The mysterious woman merely laughed. Her voice was filled with arrogance. "Really? Go ahead. Let’s see whether you’re actually capable of taking revenge."
The next punch landed heavily against his body. Patrick suddenly jolted awake.

He rubbed his aching forehead.
