His clothes were torn. Parts of his flesh had become mangled after months of wandering.
His breathing was weak and uneven. Without wasting any time, Talia immediately knelt beside him.
She gently supported his head before pouring the antidote into his mouth. Several moments passed.
Then, the old man’s body began trembling violently. Gradually, the crimson color faded from his eyes.
His breathing stabilized. Finally, Talia realized that he was actually an elderly man in his late sixties.
She carefully helped him sit upright. The old man slowly blinked several times.
His gaze remained blurry. In a hoarse, exhausted voice, he asked, "What... is happening?"
