With his alert expression, he couldn’t pretend that he had not noticed Ivy’s presence.
The moment he cleared all the zombies in the vicinity, he turned toward Ivy and gave her a gentle smile.
He still hasn’t forgotten about Ivy’s help. Though Ivy had given him a month’s worth of food, two weeks had already passed since then, and he was worried, seeing that the food was running out.
Hence, he had decided to venture today. He didn’t waste two weeks, though. Using his door as a safety measure, he learned the precise and effective method to kill zombies.
If the buffer of two weeks hadn’t been provided to him, god knows what his end might have been. He had strength and knew his capabilities, but zombie was a completely new concept for a person like him, who had hardly ever read any fictional novel or watched zombie movies.
Hence, using the buffer time, he quickly got familiar by reading about zombies and fighting them, helping him with leaps and bounds.
"Good afternoon, Ivy," He greeted her, his features softened unconsciously.
"Good afternoon, Edward." Ivy greeted her calm expression masking her inner thoughts, "You are heading out to find supplies?"
Edward nodded, not hiding anything from Ivy; subconsciously, he trusted Ivy. Not only had he watched her grow up, but she had also returned the favor by helping him.
It was enough to make him lower his guard a little.
