Upon hearing that voice, Elina’s body froze. Her eyes widened, and her heart began to race.
"What was that? Am I hallucinating?" She muttered in shock, quickly sitting up.
She stared intently at the token, now glowing faintly, and waited anxiously for the voice to return.
"Elina? Can you hear me, or are you not there?"
"Hiss!" Elina gasped, her chest swelling with uncontrollable joy.
At first, she thought it was just a hallucination—but it was real. Leon was alive!
Strength surged through her body, as if all her pain had been swept away by the wind.
She sat up straighter, brought the token to her lips, and replied in a trembling voice, "Young Master, I’m here. How are you? Why did you disappear without a word for the past two months?"
Of course, she knew what had happened to Leon. But hearing it from him directly was the only way to truly calm her heart.
"I’m glad you’re there and seem to be doing well," Leon said with a relieved sigh. "It’s a long story, but I’ll keep it short. When I faced the monster, I..."
He began recounting the events, briefly but without leaving out anything important.
Elina listened closely, her expression serious. Ten minutes later, Leon finished—and she had grasped the whole story.
