Chapter 3719: Comprehension Test Site
Chapter 3719: Comprehension Test Site
It was fair to say Alex was very much intrigued by Fang Xianhai’s suggestion.
He didn’t always have an opportunity to learn a new Dao, mostly because he couldn’t force himself to learn one entirely. Learning a Dao took a long time unless he was intimately familiar with it, which, in his current situation, was almost nothing.
After learning the True Fire and True Metal Daos, he hadn’t focused on any of the other elements as much at all. The only regular elemental Daos he had learned after becoming an Immortal were the Dao of Gravity and the Dao of Ice.
In terms of the higher elements, meaning Yin and Yang, he had only learned the Dao of Yang Heat. Most of the new Daos he had learned were from Time and Space. And of them, he had already learned everything he was currently capable of learning.
Anything else would take a much longer time in general.
So, given the opportunity, Alex was more than willing to take part in it.
"Alright," Alex said. "I look forward to it. Please give me a moment to confer with my group, and then we may leave."
Fang Xianhai smiled. "I shall be waiting for you," he said and flew off to the side.
Yifei stared at the two of them, but said nothing more. Having understood why Alex was so much stronger now, she wouldn’t keep pushing the subject. She simply waited right where she was. If the other two were going to leave together, then she would too.
Alex arrived before Ronron and the rest, who congratulated him on his victory.
"You did so good, Father," Ronron said in an excited voice.
Alex smiled. "Thanks. I tried my hardest."
"Why did you leave though?" Helen asked. "Couldn’t you continue for some time longer?"
Alex nodded. "I could. But I had no reason to really continue after that since no one else was there. It would just be showing off at that point."
"It’s good to show off once in a while," Helen said.
"I think I showed off enough today. I didn’t need to do more," Alex answered.
Liz looked toward the platform with a curious look. "How much longer do you think you could’ve survived?"
Alex shrugged. "It’s hard to tell. Based on my physical strength, I would’ve likely survived for another day at least."
"And then you would’ve lost?" Liz asked.
"No. My physique would come into play at that point," Alex answered.
His Sun God’s body could overpower all suppression, which he could use to continue for much longer. Perhaps even another 2 days.
Had he really tried to do his best to continue for as long as he could, they would have been standing around here for another 3 days at least. Alex wasn’t sure he would ever want them to waste their time like that.
Afterward, he quickly explained to the group what Fang Xianhai had suggested to him.
"A comprehension test?" Helen asked with a curious look. "How does that work?"
Alex shrugged. "I only heard the bare minimum before saying I would talk to you guys. If you don’t want to go, then we don’t have to."
"No, we’re going," Helen said. She turned toward Liz and Ronron. "What do you guys think?"
Liz shrugged. "I’m fine with it."
Ronron gave a strange expression. "I don’t really have that many Daos to learn, but I can try. Maybe I’ll get myself another Greater Dao, or better, I may learn the True Wood Dao," she said. "Although, I am a little concerned that this was suggested to you by him, Father."
Alex narrowed his eyes. "Why?"
"Unless I am misremembering, Fang Xianhai is supposed to be very talented when it comes to comprehension. He’s said to have learned many different Daos, so he might be quite capable at it."
That only made Alex more intrigued with the situation. He held a small smile. "Alright, I want to check it out even more now."
After the group decided upon it, they prepared to leave.
Fang Xianhai flew up ahead of them, pointing in the direction they were to go. "It’s about 250 kilometers that way."
It turned out to be much farther away than Alex had expected. It was close enough that they could fly there in a matter of minutes, but it was far enough away that Alex couldn’t see the location using his spiritual sense.
His spiritual sense was restricted to about 100 kilometers inside the Sky God’s realm, after all.
They arrived at the next spot a few minutes later. It looked like a maze from above, but it quickly became clear that the paths weren’t intertwining. There were simply a lot of them.
Alex landed a short distance away from Fang Xianhai and saw Han Yifei land not far away from them either. For some reason, the woman had decided to follow them.
She wasn’t the only one, as there were dozens who had heard about them competing against each other next and had decided to follow as well.
Alex ignored the group and looked toward Fang Xianhai, who stared in another direction. Alex turned to see where he was looking and found a woman staring right back.
"Fancy seeing you here, Xianhai," the woman said, her eyes turning toward the other woman next. "Oh, and if it isn’t Sister Yifei."
"Sister Mengyao," Fang Xianhai spoke in a more respectful voice than he had before. "I wasn’t expecting you here."
"Oh, it’s not just me," the woman said, pointing in another direction.
Far on the other side of the testing ground, there were more people seated, waiting for it to open up again.
Fang Xianhai looked in that direction, and his eyes narrowed.
"I see..." he said slowly. "It seems I have unexpectedly come to participate in a test with more company than I was hoping for."
There were a few too many people there, each of whom had made quite a name for themselves. Those people flew over in their direction.
