Chapter 295 - 293 Night Intrusion into the Villa [3 updates]
Based on his understanding of Maya Spencer, this is simply impossible. That woman is like a cockroach that cannot be killed. If she can be indifferent to Lillian Morris, how could she care about Aron Hanson and the Hanson Clan?
Three years ago, she had nothing at the Spencer Family, yet she held on. Even if she defeated Aron Hanson, she would only return to being the same Maya Spencer with a heart as calm as still water.
He couldn’t understand how to find Maya Spencer’s Achilles’ heel. How could he make her emotions fluctuate?
"Liam Spencer, did you hear what I said? Go deal with the Hanson Clan tomorrow. Let’s see what that Little Demon can flaunt." Charlotte Owen did not understand Maya Spencer. She couldn’t comprehend that Maya’s aloofness and arrogance were inborn, unrelated to her background.
Liam listened to Charlotte Owen’s advice, swallowed, suppressing his anger, trying to calmly say to Charlotte, "Aunt, you should go back now. I’ll handle this matter."
"Liam, you don’t believe me, do you? Aunt guarantees that not even a punctuation mark is false. Do you think I would make up something as big as you being cheated on?" Charlotte Owen thought Liam didn’t believe her since he didn’t agree with her.
However, listening to Charlotte Owen, Liam felt irritated, so he pointed outside the door and angrily shouted, "Get out."
Seeing Liam’s anger, Charlotte knew he believed her and was extremely furious, so she immediately fled.
On her way back, she thought about Liam’s rage and felt both heartache and satisfaction. She was satisfied because she knew Liam would not easily spare Maya this time. Just imagining Maya’s downfall made her feel vindicated.
Meanwhile, in the study, after Charlotte left, Liam sat alone at the desk for three hours. His mood hadn’t calmed but grew angrier.
He imagined the look on Maya’s face when she spoke to Charlotte Owen, and his heart clenched painfully. Recalling the smile and embrace she gave Lillian Morris made his heart ache to the point he couldn’t breathe.
At this moment, Liam wished he could strangle Maya to death, but he couldn’t deny he loved her so much it made him want to kill her.
The more he hurt, the deeper his love was for her. Three years had passed, and he still couldn’t get close to her heart.
Then, he suddenly stood up from his desk, grabbed his phone and keys, and rushed out the door.
He couldn’t forgive that woman after holding back all night. He had to see her immediately, had to personally strangle her, or else he would die of anger.
Forty minutes later, he drove straight into Maya’s villa.
In an instant, the alarm system inside the house blared, waking all the servants. Sister Taylor, hearing the alarm’s sound, immediately called two junior maids to open the door and check the estate’s condition.
She thought it was some blind thief triggering the alarm but didn’t expect to see Liam stepping out of a luxury car with its front smashed as the door opened.
Seeing this, Sister Taylor immediately stepped out the door, descended the stairs, and pulled Liam, saying, "Third Young Master, what are you doing? If you want to enter the house, just ring the doorbell. Why break the door? In the middle of the night, we thought something happened."
Listening to Sister Taylor’s nagging, Liam pushed her aside with his long arm, striding towards the house.
"Third Young Master, Miss is already asleep. Please rest in the guest room tonight. Can we discuss whatever it is tomorrow? Also, your car crashed. Are you alright? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Sister Taylor pulled Liam’s arm while trying to dissuade him, seeing his furious disposition.
Hearing Sister Taylor’s words made Liam even angrier. Maya had infuriated him to death, yet she was sleeping? Fine! He would ensure she never wakes again.
When he reached the spiral staircase, Liam suddenly shook off Sister Taylor’s hand and angrily said, "Anyone who doesn’t want to live can go to the second floor."
At Liam’s shout, the group of junior maids behind him froze. Who dared to stop the Third Young Master when he was angry?
Seeing that things were getting out of hand, Sister Taylor knew she might not be able to calm Liam even if she followed him, so she immediately turned back to her room, called Christopher Scott, Xavier Graham, and others, saying, "It’s terrible! The Third Young Master is about to kill someone. Come to the villa quickly to save our Miss."
On the other end, they heard Sister Taylor’s distress call, and all sleep vanished. They hastily got dressed and rushed to the villa.
After making those calls, Sister Taylor also called the police again, then sneaked up to the second floor to eavesdrop on the situation inside, but heard no noise. She thought perhaps the Third Young Master didn’t wake Maya, fearing to disturb her peace.
Meanwhile, inside the bedroom, after Liam entered, he found Maya was not in bed. The bed was a bit messy, indicating someone had slept there that night.
He assumed Maya had heard his commotion and hidden.
So, he searched every corner of the room for her figure, saying as he searched, "Maya, stop hiding. Do you really think you can hide from me?"
But he couldn’t find Maya in the study or behind any curtains, so he focused his attention on the wardrobe.
He took a deep breath, stood in front of the wardrobe door, raised his right hand, and slowly opened the wardrobe, saying, "Maya, if you come out yourself, I’ll let you die a little more painlessly."
But there was no response from the wardrobe. He turned on the wardrobe light and walked into the closet space, yet, after searching the wardrobe three times, he saw no sign of Maya.
He thought, perhaps Maya had hidden in another room upon seeing him arrive?
When he came out of the wardrobe, he searched the curtains and other hiding places, but still couldn’t find Maya.
As he was about to search another room, his gaze suddenly fell on the bathroom.
There was one crucial place he hadn’t checked—the bathroom, a perfect hiding spot, Maya might be inside.
So, he turned back and walked towards the bathroom, pushing its door open.
Upon entering, he felt a chill and a slightly unusual smell, seemingly iron.
When he realized the word "iron...," he turned on the bathroom lights and began searching for Maya.
He casually looked around the vanity area but still didn’t see Maya’s figure, then proceeded towards the shower area.
The shower room was large, with a round bathtub near the bay window.
As Liam entered the shower room, he saw Maya lying in the bathtub, her head resting on the edge, asleep.
Seeing this scene, Liam’s breath halted instantly, a terrible premonition rising.
He thought he was hallucinating, so he blinked, but Maya remained there, lying motionless in the bathtub.
Instantly, Liam’s legs felt encased in lead, frozen in place. As he took a deep breath, he realized he was choking on sobs.
