Chapter 148 Miss Shen Can Make the Decision.
On the third day of the variety show shoot, the guests were originally supposed to do farm work in the fields, but in the afternoon, the weather suddenly turned gloomy, with thick clouds covering the sky. The female guest staying with Shen Zhiyi had just put on her rain boots and looked anxiously at the sky.
"Looks like it’s going to rain?"
Shen Zhiyi came out of the house, looked up at the sky, and said, "It should be, and it looks like it’s going to be a downpour."
She had grown up here and was fairly familiar with the area’s erratic weather, able to guess the severity of the rain just by looking at the shape of the clouds.
"It shouldn’t be," another older male guest didn’t quite believe, "I didn’t hear any forecast for rain today. If it does rain, it should be just a light one that stops quickly."
Shen Zhiyi felt that there was an eighty-ninety percent chance it would be a heavy downpour, so she went to ask the director of photography, sharing her guess with him.
The latter also felt a bit troubled, "The program content is all ready, and we still don’t have enough footage for today. Why don’t you start, and if it starts pouring, come back?"
After discussing it, they decided to stick to the original plan, but they hadn’t been recording for half an hour when suddenly a strong wind started, which was so fierce that it literally blew the photographer who was filming into the field. Shen Zhiyi, whose legs were still stuck in the field, wasn’t blown away, but the female guest staying with her was not so lucky; she was blown into a mud pit nearby, completely losing her composure.
"The wind is too strong!" Shen Zhiyi had to shout at the top of her lungs for the director of photography to hear her, "It’s going to rain soon, we must hurry back!"
The wind was no joke. Not daring to hesitate any longer, everyone immediately started packing up the equipment and hurried back to their lodgings. Halfway there, a torrential downpour started, and the wind did not decrease but was accompanied by flashes of lightning and thunder.
Although Shen Zhiyi had brought an umbrella, it was impossible to open it in the fierce wind, so she could only push forward against the wind with the group.
