Ronan leaned in again, his nose almost brushing Riven’s, and said softly, "Delicious."
Riven’s heart skipped. For a second, he hesitated—then boldly slid closer, his thigh brushing Ronan’s. He reached up and cupped Ronan’s jaw, guiding him into a kiss that was soft but purposeful, the kind that made the world blur for a moment. Ronan responded instantly, his hand slipping around Riven’s waist, pulling him in just a little more.
When they parted, breath mingling, Riven smirked and licked his lips, pretending to assess something seriously. "Hmm. Yours seem to be seasoned with a different sauce."
Ronan raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Riven nodded solemnly, but the mischief sparkled in his eyes. "Yeah... I think I like mine better."
That made Ronan laugh—a deep, amused sound that rumbled in his chest.
Not soon after, they set off.
The journey had stretched long, but Riven didn’t mind. He had grown used to the wind tugging at his hair, the way Ronan’s strong body moved beneath him, muscles flexing powerfully with every stride.
Still, exhaustion was setting in. After hours of gripping Ronan’s thick fur with his legs contracted tight, the strain in his thighs had begun to ache, his body gently protesting the effort to stay balanced on the alpha’s broad wolf back.
