In the bustling city, luxury cars are parked at the entrance of one of the most luxurious hotels in Haicheng. People wearing expensive jewelry and designer dresses got out of the cars one after another.
Popular actors and actresses smiled under the camera's flash as they signed their names on the board. As the nightlife began, the guests arrived at the large hall where the Feng Group's annual meeting was held.
In the secluded corridor, a young man was stumbling and breathing heavily. He leaned against the wall, took out his cell phone, trying to call his assistant. But due to dizziness, he dropped his phone to the ground.
Hearing the rapid footsteps getting closer, he picked up his phone and tried to open the doors one by one. His forehead and back were covered in cold sweat as he struggled to stay awake.
Just when he thought he was about to be caught, he finally managed to open a door. He entered the room without hesitation and hid inside.
Not long after the door was locked, a series of hurried footsteps were heard, followed by a woman's urgent voice, "Where is he?"
"Miss, we lost him."
