Chapter 1: Prologue: Nightmare
In the middle of the night, a boy tied with hemp rope leaned weakly against the dirty wall of an abandoned warehouse.
He didn't know how long it had been since he was kidnapped. The kidnappers gave him only a little food and water, just enough to keep him alive. Not to mention escaping, he didn't know if he could survive this ordeal.
His eyes were covered with cloth, and he couldn't see anything. During the day, one of the kidnappers would curse and whip him. He knew one of them was a man based on his voice.
Although the beating was painful, it was better than what he faced during the night. When the temperature dropped, he would hear the door open and a woman touching his body.
He felt his stomach churn every time she touched his body with her greasy hands, but he endured the disgust and humiliation.
If he resisted, the woman would beat him and take off his clothes. Rather than being stripped naked by an unknown woman, he would rather stay clothed and keep the little bit of dignity he has left.
Tonight, he thought he would face the same situation again, and he couldn't help but feel fear and disgust.
But after waiting for a while, he didn't hear the sound of the door opening. Instead, he heard the sound of planks being removed and the low grunt of someone falling, coming from behind.
His body was tense from fear, and he yearned to run away, but he didn't have the strength to speak, let alone run.
Not long after, he heard slight footsteps and the rustle of clothes.
The next moment, he felt the cloth covering his eyes being taken away, and then a soft voice sounded, "Brother, what are you doing here? Are you playing hide and seek?"
