Chapter 179: Evolve
"Ha? What do you mean, Tyrant?"
The Naga all tilted their heads in confusion at Elian’s statement.
He couldn’t help but chuckle and adjust Bianca’s position a bit.
"You say you all saw my own battles; have you seen the way the other races changed?"
Alpha nodded excitedly, "I have, the Wolves of Fralhame got smaller but shifted abilities! They’re amazing."
Opposite her fellow Naga’s energy, Zeta frowned and crossed her arms, "As much as I appreciate the new bodies we have, no longer being able to create mana is extremely troublesome." She pulled out her wand and presented it, "Our artifacts will soon run out."
Elian created an extra appendage and took the wand from her. "Where did you even get these? Apart from your dungeon, I haven’t seen any other races use artifacts."
Beta and Gamma grimaced yet remained silent. Epsilon, the other Sea Siren, smiled wryly as she explained.
"They are treasures bought from the Crucible system. The Tyrant of our world chose to buy low-grade artifacts in bulk for monster cores. Those were then distributed as equipment among us who joined the expeditions."
"Are they worth it?" Elian asked bluntly.
"Well, they certainly had their uses. They have their own mana supply, so it allows us to use magic when our mana is low. But they are not really that powerful."
Obviously displeased, Gamma grunted in hostility, "They are trash! We should have just bought armor! This is because the Tyrant is a Sea Siren! The elders all opposed the idea and instead wished to evolve our warriors!"
