Chapter 165: Legacy
Dr. Magnolia Dawson.
If you asked anyone from Earth, few would know of her. Most of her biographies only had one line: Wife of the legendary Breaker, Chad Daybreak Dawson. Compared to her husband, she was nothing more than a background character.
At least that was what the textbooks and formal schooling taught to the next generation.
However, ever since gaining his talent and meeting Bianca, Elian quickly learned that history could be rewritten. He wasn’t sure if it was because of the Crucible or the Big Three’s propaganda, but Dr. Magnolia was far from just a simple wife.
Together with Bianca, she created the system that allowed humans to fight in the dungeons. At least that was what most system users knew; in truth, she integrated the Crucible System to be compatible with humans via nanomachines.
Elian grew impressed and frustrated at how the Crucible controlled information. Lies were mixed with the truth so closely that it was already impossible to distinguish the two. Now, yet another shocking revelation came from Bianca that rewrote what he knew.
Dr. Magnolia Dawson wasn’t even human—she was a Psychomancer, an alien from another world with the power to bring back the dead.
But what the good doctor was hardly mattered. Elian’s only concern was that his Anchor cared about her and was overburdened with guilt.
"She gave her soulgem to me for my potion; how did I not kill her?"Bianca whimpered in tears.
Seeing his lover make such a regretful expression made Elian’s heart hurt. It had barely been a week since Bianca revealed that she was an artificial human. Back then, he thought he knew everything about his lover, only to be proven wrong once again.
Elian patiently brushed the small back of his woman. For all of her power, Bianca Valestra paid for it disproportionately. A lifetime of being hunted, betrayed, and abused, all so she could be the strongest human created solely for war.
