Chapter 39: Fluffy
"KYUNN..."
An ice monster slammed into a wall with a whimper. A large group of wolves rapidly growled but all slowly backed away. There were over fifteen of them, all larger than three meters. One of them towered over the others at ten, with a streak of gold on its body.
"Holy crap! An Alpha. I never thought I would see one in my lifetime."
"WOW! I leveled up!"
"Ryner, can you still hang on?"
"I don't think so, just holding three is taking all my mana."
Four humans followed behind a black armored warrior. While every monster retreated, only he strode forward, undaunted. His every step caused the dungeon to rumble. Like a force of nature he made his way deeper and deeper unopposed.
"WHRRAAAUUUN!"
The large Alpha lowered its head and let out a snarl. It slowly stepped forward. The smaller wolves all seemed to regain some semblance of courage. Only for a sharp swirling sound to cut through the air beside them.
In an instant, four of them collapsed on the ground, their heads crushed into paste. The spinning pieces of steel ran past them and flew at breakneck speeds to the black knight. Only he swung his large sword and struck them back.
Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!
