The Royal Blutlinie showed a wide and fierce smile as he continued wielding his bone sword, releasing massive currents of ice that flooded the surface of the ocean and destroyed large sections of it. His name was Kameron, a member of the Royal Family of the Kalous Kingdom.
That status alone was imposing. Combined with his Alpha-Omega Overgod cultivation base, Kameron held an extremely high standing within the kingdom. Unfortunately, there were more than half a dozen other Royal Blutlinie who were superior to him in both power and influence. Unless a miracle occurred, he would never reach the peak of the kingdom.
That was precisely why he had been so excited when he learned of the changes surrounding the Ocean of the Blood Sun.
Not only was it a unique location, one imbued with powerful Omens within its very essence, but now it possessed a will that could be seized and controlled.
"If I can take control of this place," Kameron thought, his heart pounding with ambition, "my power and standing within the kingdom will rise immensely. I might even become the next Crown Prince."
Thrill and desire burned in Kameron’s eyes as he continued to strike with his sword. His goal was simple—to harm the entity controlling the Ocean of the Blood Sun until it had no choice but to surrender and become his slave.
Yet just as those dreams of greatness began to bloom in Kameron’s mind, a sharp cracking sound echoed across the vast ocean of blood.
"Is that an... egg?"
Before the thought could fully form, Kameron’s eyes widened. A massive creature erupted from the Ocean of the Blood Sun like a blazing comet. In less than a second, it soared into the highest reaches of the sky. Its enormous body blotted out the sun as it gazed down upon the army brought by the Royal Blutlinie with pure, unfiltered killing intent.
Its body resembled that of a dragon, covered in red scales and supported by four dark, bat-like wings. Instead of eyes, horns protruded from its sockets, and above its head floated a star that glowed like the morning sun.
