The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1816: A third one

The Dragon Empress stood proudly in the sky near the Eternal Kingdom of the Lord of Ages, her eyes cold and merciless as she observed her draconic towers continuously siphoning the Origin Power from the heart of the enemy’s stronghold, little by little weakening him and putting her closer to victory. Surrounding her were the numerous Prima Deities under her command, each one exuding confidence and assurance that their victory was now inevitable.

The entire Eternal Kingdom was under intense surveillance, every movement meticulously tracked. However, they were not concerned about the possibility of anyone fleeing.

If the enemy Prima Deities chose to escape, it would only weaken the Lord of Ages further, so there was no reason to stop that. More importantly, if the ArchDeity himself dared to abandon his kingdom, the Dragon Empress would swiftly seize the opportunity, needing only a few minutes to penetrate the kingdom’s core and consume the ocean of cosmic forces and Origin Power hidden within.

The Prima Deities aligned with Tiamat were brimming with excitement and satisfaction. This Eternal War had progressed far quicker and smoother than any had expected, placing them on the cusp of absolute victory. Their losses were virtually zero, especially since the dark-green dragon Alruk, who perished, had been exposed as a traitor. The atmosphere among Tiamat’s legion was that of triumphant anticipation.

Yet amidst the joyous anticipation, one figure stood quietly contemplative: Cain. His brows furrowed deeply as a foreboding sensation nagged at the corners of his consciousness. An instinctive sense warned him that something was profoundly amiss, something unseen yet monumental—an impending threat that could shake the entire battlefield.

Unfortunately, even though Cain had learned to trust these instincts fully, without clear insight into the nature of this threat, he was left powerless to prepare effectively.

The Neo-Demon took a deep breath, steadying his thoughts and turning inward. His consciousness focused sharply on the Second Astral Black Hole within his right shoulder. Its power had been steadily growing, nourished by the immense Origin Power he had absorbed, and now it teetered on the brink of full ignition.

"Awakening my Second Astral Black Hole will propel my Neo-Demon Path to Late Prima Deity Rank. I hope it’s sufficient for whatever awaits us," Cain mused gravely.

He knew that raw strength and relentless effort had never failed him, and so he expelled unnecessary worries from his mind, redirecting every ounce of his focus and energy into nurturing the Second Astral Black Hole. With each passing day, his aura strengthened, growing denser and more intimidating, radiating a sense of impending evolution.

Five months passed since Tiamat’s draconic towers had begun consuming the Lord of Ages’ Eternal Kingdom. During this time, there had been no reaction from the ArchDeity, which had not surprised anyone. In fact, Tiamat herself assumed that it would take decades before the Lord of Ages dared to make another move.

Yet, today shattered all those assumptions.

Suddenly, the Dragon Empress and her legion of Prima Deities watched with a mix of confusion and wariness as the Lord of Ages emerged from his Eternal Kingdom. His form displayed no obvious injuries, yet his aura betrayed instability, signaling he had not fully recovered. Following closely behind him were all of the Prima Deities still loyal to him.
