Chapter 1382: Like a Flashbang
A slap, then a sweet date; that’s about how it goes.
Atra Blanc didn’t have any particular thoughts. She was simple-minded, only wanted to do her duties well, and never thought of striving for anything or the twists and turns in other’s minds.
Dr. Griffiths said, "I’ll assign you more work so the hospital leaders can see your achievements. When it comes time for evaluations, you’ll have a significant advantage!
You know, the competition in the hospital is intense. For a nurse as inexperienced as you, getting evaluated is extremely difficult! ... But don’t worry too much, I’ll do my best to help you."
While talking, the two had already reached the hospital entrance.
Atra softly muttered, "Um... Dr. Griffiths, thank you for considering me, but I don’t have plans to go abroad anytime soon."
Her mother was critically ill, with only a few days left, so she couldn’t possibly leave her behind to go elsewhere.
Dr. Griffiths dismissively said, "Young people need ambition. How can you miss such a rare learning opportunity? Don’t be afraid of unfamiliar places; I’m there, and I’ll take care of you."
Before Atra could speak, he added, "You must be very tired today; let me take you back."
There’s a row of canopies at the hospital entrance, with bicycles parked underneath. Dr. Griffiths pushed out a brand-new one from among them, strutted over to Atra with pride.
