Chapter 799: Becoming the Boss
In the quiet depth of the night, on the chilly empty streets, a woman with a mask and a hat is strolling, her hands tucked in her pockets. She walks at a leisurely pace, seemingly unconcerned about her surroundings.
In some foreign cities, the crime rate is high, and many people, especially women, would not dare to venture out at midnight for fear of uninvited attention from miscreants.
A few men drinking and chatting on the sidewalk, see a woman with a graceful figure passing by. Unable to resist, they hilariously follow her with clear sinister intentions.
The woman appears to sense something, but she does not panic or quicken her steps. Instead, she turns into a dark alley.
Seeing this, the men excitedly quicken their pace and soon catch up with her in the dim alley.
"Hey, beauty, why the rush?" one man remarked while throwing his arm around the woman’s shoulder, his laughter brimming with wickedness.
With a swift shift of her shoulder, the woman moves away from the unscrupulous man.
The other men block her path forward, circling her, "Sweetheart, it’s so late. How about we have a drink together?"
Ignoring them, she carries on walking, manifesting her disinterest.
