Chapter 385 - Always Waiting For You
She didn’t know how long it was, feeling as if she had just woken from a long and yet vague dream. When Lin Xi slowly came to, she found herself lying in a blanket of snow. Surprised, she immediately surveyed her surroundings and discovered she was on Yuxueyun Mountain.
"It seems I managed to escape alive," Lin Xi sighed a breath of relief, slowly lifting herself despite feeling sore all over. She remembered the harsh impact she had suffered and was almost unable to endure.
"I wonder how Gu Fan and Sister Su are, I hope everyone is alright." Lin Xi was a little worried. She cast a spell to ease her discomfort before struggling to stand up. Brushing off the snow from her clothes, she began to walk down the mountain.
After navigating for nearly an hour, Lin Xi’s stomach growled. Despite her strength, she still needed to eat and was feeling uncomfortable due to hunger. Pressing her famished belly, she continued on her way.
"Oh God, just my luck. Barely making it out alive, am I now going to starve halfway? Gu Fan, you heartless man" Lin Xi spotted a small wooden hut at the foot of the mountain not far ahead, instantly seeing a glimmer of hope. She quickened her pace towards it.
Upon entering, Lin Xi was taken aback by the familiar figure leaning against the door frame. His arms crossed, a mild smirk on his face, as if he had been eagerly waiting for quite some time.
"It’s been a while, glad to see you’re okay," Gu Fan smiled. He was looking at Lin Xi and smiling.
Lin Xi also smiled and approached, asking, "What are you doing here? Are you alone? Where is Sister Su and the others?"
"I asked them to leave first, I needed some time alone, so I stayed behind." After finishing his words, Gu Fan gave a wry smile as if helpless.
