Chapter 174: Ex-Girlfriend is Very Angry
On this day, Leng Le paced back and forth in her office, her gaze occasionally landing on the college campus, her eyebrows furrowed tightly. She had received news that Lin Xi had returned to the campus.
"So, you finally show up. Excellent," Leng Le murmured, a cold glint in her eyes. She had thought it would take some effort to find Lin Xi’s whereabouts; she hadn’t expected the other party to emerge so effortlessly.
However, since Lin Xi was currently on campus, it was imprudent to take action recklessly. Leng Le had to be patient and wait for the right opportunity. Despite having placed several people to monitor the campus, Leng Le lacked the power to capture Lin Xi.
The most ideal opportunity would be if Lin Xi left the campus and ventured into a secluded corner. But Leng Le considered this unlikely; she didn’t think Lin Xi would put herself at such risk.
Leng Le had bought Gu Fan a new phone, installing a tracker in it with the hope that if Gu Fan went to find Lin Xi, she could determine Lin Xi’s location through Gu Fan.
"Well, well, it really is you," Leng Le said, trying to control her excitement. Clenching her fists and smirking, she appeared to be looking forward to a good show.
As Leng Le was considering her plan, she received a report from her subordinates about rumors on campus concerning Gu Fan and Lin Xi. Some people were suggesting that Gu Fan had broken up with Lin Xi because he was seeing someone else.
Upon hearing this, Leng Le couldn’t help but laugh. She found the situation amusing and concluded that being with Gu Fan had indeed been a good decision.
So Leng Le devised a plan; as a romantic rival, she would meet Lin Xi in a deserted place, have her followers lay an ambush, and capture her when she showed up.
The plan was instantly dismissed, however. Leng Le realized that once implemented, she would be revealing her own identity. Whether or not she could capture Lin Xi then would still be uncertain. The boss had repeatedly warned her; without absolute certainty, she should not provoke Lin Xi, the reincarnation of Queen Qianye, after all.
"Fine, I can’t provoke you now. But I can play a small game with you," Leng Le whispered to herself, brewing another plan. She decided to pick Gu Fan up from school at peak hours when people would be swarming around the gate.
