Chapter 205 - 205: Evolution
[: 3rd POV :]
As Daniel had removed the last threat, Arin on the other hand was gazing at him with her own thoughts.
Her ears were still ringing from the collapse of conquerors, envoy and warships alike.
The land, sea and sky was unrecognizable, it was full of fractured land, fading light, scars carved into reality itself, but all she could really see was Daniel.
He stood there as if none of it had mattered.
As if erasing an envoy of Balance, devouring divine beings, and destroyinf an armada was no more taxing than brushing dust from his sleeve.
Her heart hadn't stopped racing yet.
It was a scene that she had never seen or encountered before.
She pressed a hand lightly against her chest, trying to steady her breathing, only to realize it wasn't fear that made her tremble anymore.
It was something else.
'He didn't hesitate…' she thought, watching him from behind.
She was more than just admiring him at this moment.
She who had seen countless men had never encountered a person like Daniel.
When the warships fired, when the world screamed, when borrowed divinity threatened to tear the sky apart, Daniel hadn't raised his voice.
He hadn't panicked.
He hadn't looked back to ask if she was ready.
He had simply stepped forward.
'Stay behind me'
Those words echoed in her mind again, and her grip tightened unconsciously on the fabric of his coat when he protected her.
Not because she needed protection, but because she didn't want to let go.
She had grown up surrounded by brilliance.
By power.
By beings who spoke of duty and balance and sacrifice as if lives were numbers to be adjusted.
Yet none of them had ever stood in front of annihilation and said, 'This world is mine'
Not for pride.
Not for authority.
But because someone he cared about was standing there.
Yes, it's true that both aren't that closed enough to even be declared as friends.
But for the moments that Daniel protected her, Arin felt warmth spread through her chest, subtle but undeniable.
Admiration twisted into something softer, something dangerous.
She looked at his calm profile, the way his presence alone seemed to tell the universe, no, and realized, faintly startled, that she felt safe.
Truly safe.
And somehow, that was far more terrifying than any entities she had seen.
But there was something dangerous about Arin.
Something that she only kept to herself.
She has her own standards when choosing her preference.
But once she had set her sight on a man she finds interest in, she wouldn't let go.
And now, Arin was undergoing that process, it was small but it will surely grow to the point it'll become undeniable.
At the same time, the world, Mika, who was undergoing through the process of evolution had received an unpredictable outcome.
Across the shattered continents, through fractured skies and wounded oceans, something vast and immeasurable turned its gaze inward, not toward Daniel, but toward the world itself.
Mika who was protected by the students, Daniel's clone and the instructions had been evolving long before the invasion began.
Every death that had scarred her surface, every city reduced to ash, every scream that had soaked into her soil had become part of her growth.
Where other worlds collapsed under invasion, Mika's herself had survived.
And now, the impossible had occurred.
Her children, fragile, defiant, incomplete beings born of short lives and endless contradiction, had done what countless planets failed to accomplish.
They had resisted.
They had fought back.
Across the globe, remnants of battle still burned.
Apostles lay dead, their sanctified forms reduced to inert matter.
Conquerors had fallen, their Laws severed, their authority stripped by hands that should never have been able to reach them.
And an Envoy.
A being meant to observe, to judge, to ensure compliance was killed.
Not by divine consensus.
But by a mortal.
Mika felt it all.
She felt the fear of her children as the sky had opened.
Their despair when the heavens declared judgment.
Their refusal to kneel.
And above all, She felt him, protecting the entire world.
Daniel's presence had not merely protected.
It had anchored.
By standing between annihilation and her children, he had given Mika something no world had ever been granted before.
Her core flared, not with mana or divinity, but with identity.
She was no longer just a resource world.
No longer an asset marked for correction.
She was becoming something else.
Something unprecedented.
And across the universe, countless beings felt it.
Ancient mechanisms designed to record inevitability began returning errors.
Because the rules had been violated.
A developing world had repelled divine factions which should have been impossible.
A species not meant to survive had slain its invaders.
This was something that shouldn't have happened not in million years, yet it had happened and that's where the Will of the Universe had recognized and acknowledged it.
[: An Unprecedented and Unseen outcome have happened in this planet :]
An announcement had been made to the entire world.
[: This planet and its consciousness has been acknowledged by the Universe for its abomination achievements that have resounded throughout the universe :]
[: For slaying hundreds thousands of beings that's above the threshold of this world, removing countless gates, killing Apostles that should have annihilated this world, eliminating Conquerors that was the epitome of destructing and killing an Envoy of Radiant Dawn, this world that's classified as an Unranked has made an impossible achievement :]
[: Hence, this world would be rewarded due to all of the Achievements :]
[: Congratulations, this world has received a blessing from the Will of Universe, 'Overachiever' :]
[: Congratulations, the Consciousness of the Planet process of evolution will fasten and all of the boost it will receive will be multiplied and additional effect would be applied :]
[: For achieving the impossible, every being in this world will have their rank increased by one, starting from Level 1, all rank of powers will increase by one rank :]
[: Each being would be rewarded with resources depending on contribution :]
But vefore anyone, before Daniel, before Arin, before even the fractured heavens themselvescould begin to comprehend the weight of the Universe's rewards, the world changed again.
It began with a heartbeat.
Deep within the cocoon where Mika's consciousness had been evolving in silence, a pulse of light flickered.
Once, twice, then, the cocoon ignited.
A blinding radiance erupted from the heart of the world, piercing through oceans, mantle, and sky alike.
The ground trembled, not with destruction, but with awakening.
From every continent, from every horizon, a pillar of light surged upward, vast, pure, and impossibly alive, stretching toward the heavens as though the planet itself was reaching out to be seen.
Every living being looked up.
The pillar did not burn.
It did not scorch.
It embraced.
Cracked lands knit themselves together as if time itself had been reversed.
Ravines sealed, continents drifted back into harmony, tectonic scars smoothing under waves of luminous energy.
Shattered cities did not merely rebuild, they reformed, reforged by the planet's will, stronger than before.
Mountains rose where plains had been erased.
Rivers returned to paths they had forgotten, their waters shimmering with newfound vitality.
The seas roared.
Not in rage, but in joy.
Dead oceans bloomed with life.
Coral forests erupted from barren trenches.
Leviathans long thought extinct stirred beneath the waves, awakened by a call older than memory.
Above, the sky healed.
Fractured clouds realigned into spiraling constellations of light, and the scars left by divine artillery slowly closed, as if reality itself bowed in apology.
Arin staggered, gripping Daniel's sleeve as the wind surged around them.
"This… this is Mika?" she whispered, eyes wide.
Daniel said nothing.
For the first time since the invasion began, his expression shifted, not shock but something close to reverence.
At the center of it all, the cocoon cracked.
Light poured out like a sunrise given form.
And from it, Mika emerged.
No longer the vague, distant presence she once was.
No longer an unconscious planetary will.
Her form had changed.
A young woman stepped forth, barefoot upon the air itself, her existence anchored everywhere and nowhere at once.
Her hair, now flowed in cascading strands of iridescent white streaked with soft gold and deep cerulean, colors of sea, sky, and starlight intertwined.
Her eyes now shimmered with layered hues, galaxies rotating within them, blue for oceans, green for land, gold for life.
She was beautiful.
Terrifying.
With every step she took, the world responded.
Flowers bloomed in her wake.
Ruins stabilized.
Wounds, planetary and personal alike, eased, not erased, but acknowledged and soothed.
Mika lifted her gaze toward the pillar of light still connecting her to the heavens.
And then...ger consciousness spoke.
[: Evolution Phase Complete :]
The words echoed everywhere at once.
[: Classification Update :]
[: World Designation: Mika - Status Changed :]
[: Previous Classification Rank: Unranked Resource World :]
[: New Classification: High Tier Planet :]
A shudder rippled through reality.
[: Reason for Advancement :]
[: Successful Repulsion of Multiversal Invasion :]
[: Elimination of Apostles beyond Threshold :]
[: Slaying of Conquerors :]
[: Death of an Envoy :]
[: Protection by an Anomalous Existence — Recorded as Variable: Daniel :]
Daniel felt it then.
A subtle shift.
The world acknowledging him, not as a ruler, not as a god, but as something woven into its survival.
[: Evolutionary Traits Acquired :]
[: Autonomous Defense Protocols - Elevated :]
[: World-Regenerative - Elevated :]
[: Dimensional Invasion Resistance - Elevated :]
[: Resources - Elevated :]
[: Power Levels Limits: Increased from Mythic to Ascended, Saint, Deva, Mystic, Deity and Divine :]
[: Realm Resources - Unlocked :]
[: Planetary Invasion - Unlocked :]
[: Planetary Mission - Unlocked :]
The light intensified.
Mika turned her gaze downward, and for a fleeting moment, her eyes met Daniel's.
There was gratitude there.
And something deeper.
Understanding.
[: Additional Blessing Applied — Overachiever (Amplified) :]
[: All additional rewards: Stabilized and Integrated :]
Across the world, people fell to their knees, not in worship, but in awe.
The pillar of light slowly receded, dissolving into the sky like dawn fading into day.
Mika descended, her feet finally touching the ground.
The world was whole again.
No, more than whole.
It was reborn.
And far beyond the edges of the universe, unseen observers turned their attention toward Mika with unease.
Because a world had evolved through the impossible.
And the impossible had become precedent.
