Chapter 1567: Handsome Brother-in-law Is So Good to You
"What’s special treatment? Can’t understand why you’re acting crazy again?" Anthony rolled his eyes at Thomas, who was purposely picking a fight with him, and turned back to Easton Holmes, who had just sat down. "Brother-in-law, you’re so handsome in that military uniform."
Last time they met, Easton wore casual clothes, and today he was in uniform. Honestly, he looked incredibly dashing.
"So, what you mean is that my brother doesn’t look handsome in casual clothes?" Thomas seemed to be determined to spar with Anthony, countering every word Anthony said.
Anthony rolled his eyes again, "Thomas! Is that what I meant?"
"Alright, you two, stop bickering."
Seeing Anthony and Thomas caught up in their playful argument, Alice Turner was worried that if she didn’t step in, they’d keep at it endlessly.
Just after her sister spoke, Lily Turner’s voice chimed in, "Honey! You should go upstairs and handle your own things. With you around, we can’t have a normal conversation."
Her husband’s aura was too overwhelming, making her sister and assistant feel uneasy sitting there, while the other two men kept bickering because of him.
Her husband was really affecting the atmosphere; she wanted him to leave so they could have a relaxed chat.
Easton Holmes discreetly glanced around at the others, realizing that his wife might be right; people couldn’t converse normally with him there.
"Alright, then you stay here with the guests, I’ll head upstairs." As he got up, he discreetly pinched the little woman who was trying to send him away and then left the living room casually.
What a jerk!
Watching his tall back disappearing, Lily grumbled inwardly, though she maintained her cheerful expression outwardly.
"Beautiful sister-in-law! Your handsome brother-in-law really treats you well." Anthony wasn’t just flattering; he was genuinely envious of Lily for having such a charming and loving husband.
Lily agreed with what Anthony said, but she felt he was just being polite—this was the second time he’d seen her husband, so how could he tell that her husband was good to him?
"Jacob! You remind me of a girl." Actually, the first time Anthony called her beautiful sister, she thought of that girl, her sister-in-law Athena Linton.
Anthony and Athena are equally adorable, equally endearing, with a kind of genuine affection.
"Seeing me reminds you of a girl? What girl?" Anthony asked Lily, his gaze subtly sweeping toward Alice, who was sitting not far to his right.
Lily obviously didn’t notice Anthony’s subtle glance towards her sister and nodded with a smile, "Yes! She’s lively and lovely just like you. One day I’ll introduce you two; you definitely can become great friends."
Two people as adorable as you are bound to become good friends.
"Hearing you say that, I’m really looking forward to meeting that girl." Turned out he panicked for nothing; the beautiful sister-in-law didn’t know about his identity as a girl.
Anthony felt relieved and shifted his attention away from Alice.
Lily nodded, "I’ll definitely introduce you two when there’s a chance."
"Can’t I meet her now?"
Anthony’s interest was piqued; he genuinely wanted to meet someone as cute as himself, wishing for a like-minded good friend.
Alice, who had been silent for a while, spoke up before Lily could reply, "You definitely can’t meet her now; she’s in Golden Morning."
