Chapter 1564: Honey! Your Brother Bullied Me
Alice Turner was so obedient in admitting defeat, it really surprised Thomas Fisher. He couldn’t help but tilt his head to look at her and, seeing her earnest admission, his worried heart gradually settled.
He didn’t apologize or admit his mistake to her for his previous bad attitude, for fear she might suddenly change her mind. He didn’t want to risk her safety.
He decided to hold off for now and apologize to her later.
After returning from the airport to the hotel, Alice Turner checked out and took Grace Young to Thomas Fisher’s apartment to pick up Anthony. Thomas served as their free driver and bodyguard, taking the three of them to the compound where Easton Holmes and Lily Turner lived.
"Beautiful sister! We’ve come to bother you; please don’t find us annoying," Anthony said, not at all shy, as he began joking with Lily Turner as soon as he entered.
Lily Turner took both Alice and Grace by the hand, "I don’t find these two annoying; I only find you annoying."
Though her words sounded like she was annoyed, her face wore a friendly smile.
Even though she had only met Anthony two or three times, Lily felt quite a connection with him. If he weren’t a man, she would have already vowed to be sisters with him.
However, she didn’t dare call him brother, knowing her jealous husband would be upset. Just thinking about her husband’s jealousy made her scared.
"Even if you find me annoying, I still have to bother you. You’re just too lovable," Anthony said, attempting to hug Lily but was abruptly pulled away by Thomas.
"My elder brother doesn’t like others touching his things, so be careful," Thomas warned, noticing Anthony rolling his eyes at him. Did Anthony not realize Thomas had just saved his life?
The elder brother didn’t know Anthony was a woman, and if the elder brother saw Anthony being so handsy with his sister-in-law, he’d be in big trouble.
Things?!
What does this guy mean? Is she a thing?
Lily Turner frowned unhappily, "Brother-in-law! Who are you calling a thing?"
Ever since Thomas successfully proposed, Lily Turner had taken it upon herself to start calling him brother-in-law.
"Of course, I’m calling you a thing! Aren’t you a thing?" Recognized by Alice Turner’s family, Thomas naturally felt happy, joking around with Lily Turner.
Lily Turner blurted out, "I’m certainly not a thing!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, she realized they sounded awkward, and quickly corrected herself, "I am a thing."
"Sister-in-law! First you say you’re not a thing, then you claim you are a thing. Are you a thing or not?" Seeing Lily Turner not knowing how to express herself, Thomas couldn’t help but laugh heartily.
"You, you..."
Lily Turner didn’t know how to retort when suddenly Easton Holmes opened the door and came in. Immediately, she complained to her husband, "Honey! Your brother is bullying me."
After finishing her call with Alice Turner, Lily was quick to inform Easton Holmes about the guests coming over. He finished his military duties early and came home.
Little did he know that as soon as he entered the door, his wife would be giving him helpless looks.
"Haha! I was just joking with my sister-in-law," Thomas responded quickly with a smile, before his elder brother could speak.
Seeing Thomas like this, Anthony, who had suffered a setback, decided to kick him while he was down, "He just said the beautiful sister isn’t a good thing and mocked her for not being able to speak properly."
Anthony exaggerated the situation, hoping the Captain would teach this bad kid Thomas a lesson.
