Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue didn’t leave the military directly; instead, they first went to the medical institute of the special forces unit to check on a few patients and give some instructions.
Even though there are doctors on duty, Feng Qingxue is never careless with her responsibilities.
Lu Jiang never puts on airs as a leader—if it’s not an official trip, he won’t use a car. But the security officer disagrees; he has to follow because the burden on Lu Jiang’s shoulders is so heavy that if something dangerous were to happen, who could bear the consequences? If they strictly followed the rules, he would have a whole group of people with him, and there would be security arrangements for travel, which is one of the reasons the couple sneaked away.
By the time Liu Ran and Zhao Qing arrived, out of breath, Lu Jiang and Feng Qingxue were already gone.
The two wanted to enjoy some time alone, but as soon as they got on the bus, they saw a bunch of young people in military uniforms, laughing and preparing to go into the city. It seems none of them are on duty today.
"Hello, leader!" Their voices were loud, and their salutes were very tidy.
"Everyone, take a seat, just pretend you don’t know me!" You can’t go out without being disturbed—a bunch of mischievous kids.
A group of young people laughed, looking at Lu Jiang, glancing at Feng Qingxue, and winking at each other.
Lu Jiang’s approachability makes them unafraid in their daily lives.
"Is the leader taking sister-in-law shopping? Absolutely, sister-in-law works so hard every day, and there’s a lot of stuff in the department stores at the end of the year. The boss has to buy sister-in-law a couple more pieces of clothing and shoes."
The one speaking is Tie Niu, and Feng Qingxue glared, "How come I see you again? Not on duty?"
