Chapter 227: Why Can’t He Forget Her?
Jax dialed a number on his cellphone.
"Check what Erik is doing in China and let me know immediately." He paused while listening to the man on the other line before hanging up.
In the evening, he went to a bar to meet up with Cassie. Cassie has pestered him several times. He got tired of her calls and he decided to finally meet her.
Cassie was already in the private room when he arrived.
"How have you been Cassie?" he asked casually. He picked up a wine glass and poured over the wine. He secretly studied Cassie while twirling the wine in his glass.
Cassie was wearing a green pencil skirt and a matching light green sleeveless top with a V-neckline. Her blazer was draped over the back of her chair. Probably she felt hot, that’s why she took it off.
Cassie was beautiful and she still has the body of a model. She has average-sized breasts. It was not too small not it was too big.
"Aren’t you meeting the wrong person, Cassie? Shouldn’t you meet with Marlon Franco or Alex? I am not particularly close to Erik." He said in a mocking voice.
"But I felt connected with you. We planned Aryana’s kidnapping after all. Because Erik was held up at the Lee Mansion at that time, Aryana went on that cruise without him which made it easy for her to be taken away." Cassie was casual in her conversation.
Jax’s eyes turned icy cold but Cassie did not notice it because she was mesmerized by the color of the wine in her glass.
"Don’t ever mention that again, Cassie." Jax’s voice sounded menacing. Cassie was surprised. She lifted her head but she felt scared when she saw the danger in Jax’s eyes.
