Chapter 129: I Am Here To Pick You Up!
Somehow Aryana accidentally opened the entertainment section and her heart sank when she saw photos of Cassie and Erik eating together in a restaurant. In one of the photos, Cassie was leaning toward Erik and she seems to be listening intently to whatever he was saying. They looked like they were a couple on a romantic date.
"What’s wrong?" Clark asked her when he noticed her expression.
"Nothing." She gave him a half-hearted smile. "Why are you just watching me? You drink as well. Don’t let such expensive wine go to waste."
Clark poured another glass for Aryana and then he filled his as well.
He lifted his glass for a toast.
"For more projects in the future and for a successful collaboration," Clark said cheerfully.
Aryana clinked her wine glass with Clark. "For a successful collaboration." She repeated. She need a diversion to drown her heartache when she saw the photos.
She drank her wine leisurely savoring every ounce of it.
Three sets of cameras were focused on them and captured the toast and the smile on both Aryana and Clark’s faces.
Gram Ham browsed the photos sent to him. He frowned when he saw the photo of Clark and Aryana walking on the sidewalk and there was a big gap between them. Clark’s hands were in his pocket.
"That stupid son of mine. He cannot even take advantage of a situation and turn it into an opportunity. No wonder he has had no girlfriend until now." He grumbled.
