Chapter 110: Trouble At The Construction Site
At Gaeya Corporation, Erik came out of his office after almost two hours together with Cassie. Cassie was smiling broadly and wished that Aryana was there to witness it. She was walking on cloud nine. She took her sweet time explaining her business proposal to Erik and he was impressed. He did not know that Cassie has a good business acumen.
Erik asked for a glass of water from Camille. His throat was dry and started to itch. Looked like he had too much of the cookies. Without him realizing it, he finished the entire box.
Cassie thought that Erik was sending her to the elevator but he went to Aryana’s cubicle. He was greeted by an empty chair and a beautiful blue rose on a glass vase. He frowned. He looked at the trash can and saw the discarded box. He picked it up and checked the card.
’To Aryana, I hope this will brighten your day, C’
"C, who could this be? Could this be Clark?" Erik muttered. He threw the box back to the trash can with a bit of force.
Cassie lingered at Camille’s table making small talks but her gaze was following Erik. Her eyes widened when saw him pick up the box from the trash can.
’Isnt Erik a germaphobe? How can he casually pick up something from the trash can?’
He walked back to Camille’s table and frowned when he saw Cassie was still there.
"You’re still here. I thought you already left."
"I am leaving. I’ll send the contract to your email and I’ll ask my secretary to set up a schedule for the contract signing."
Erik just nodded. Cassie left gracefully. She was a bit disappointed because Erik did not send her off.
