Chapter 99: Retribution
The waiter trembled. "I am so sorry. Someone bumped into me." He glared at Karla who also glared back at him.
"I am so sorry, it was an accident!" Karla tried to sound innocent and apologetic.
Aryana felt the heat started to penetrate her coat. She quickly removed the coat to prevent further damage on her skin.
"Why did you block it?" Kurt Heinz asked her.
"Why did I? Of course it is instinct and I cannot let something bad happen to my guest." She answered softly and then she hissed.
Camille took out a lot of table napkins wet them with water and hurriedly wiped away the soup left on Aryana’s blouse. Aryana hissed again. She felt a burning sensation on her back.
Erik was angry when he saw Aryana’s state. He reached her in four big strides.
"I am sorry for this accident Mr. Heinz." Erik bowed slightly.
"I am not hurt but she is. She saved me." Kurt cut him.
"Camille, Marlon, please take care of our guests. I’ll take Aryana to the hospital first. Again, my apologies."
Erik took off his coat and put it on Aryana. He threw Karla a fierce stare before he carried Aryana out of the restaurant.
