Chapter 34: He is jealous
Inside the VIP room, a storm was brewing. Erik was seated directly across the table where Aryana was seated. He witnessed how Jax held Aryana’s hand and kissed it. He also saw how Jax flirted with Aryana and from his line of sight, Aryana seemed to be entertaining him.
"What’s wrong Erik? Are you angry because the food is not yet been served?" Julia was surprised to see the scowl on Erik’s face.
"It’s nothing. I am just a bit hungry." He said trying to focus his attention on Julia. "Did you make the revision to the report?" He was back to his bossy self once again.
"Erik, can we not discuss work for now? Let’s enjoy our lunch first." Julia tried to sound coquettish.
"This is a business lunch Julia so we should be discussing work." Erik snapped back at her.
"Okay, Boss. As you wish." She sounded disappointed.
’I’ll take this opportunity to get close to you then.’ She stood up and moved her chair a little closer to Erik and showed him her tablet. She intentionally leaned forward and she was pretty sure that if Erik looked down, he will see her exposed cleavage.
She has been explaining for some time now but Erik was unresponsive. When she looked up, she saw Erik looking straight ahead and when she followed his line of sight, she saw Aryana eating with Jax and Elaine. She narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists.
"What do you think Erik? Is this revision fine?" She tried to catch Erik’s attention by putting her hand on his arm.
Erik’s gaze turned cold as he stared at the hand holding him. Julia retracted her hand. She was about to say something when the waiter came in with their order.
