Chapter 155: The truth
The act proceeded further showing glimpses of Qin Yan’s previous life with Xi Ting. Xi Ting was surprised by the play in front of him. Subconsciously, his eyes were filled with tears thinking of his cookie.
Qin Yan had shown that moments in the play which were only known by her and Xi Ting. This all was done to make him believe that she only was Mo Ran.
The last scene was up. The drapes opened again and a man was lying in a pool of blood on the floor. He was none other than Xi Ting. A lady ran towards him, "Moonpie!!!" she called out anxiously.
Unfortunately, the man was unconscious and could not reply to the girl’s call. Xi Ting subconsciously held Qin Yan’s hand tightly at this time. He couldn’t imagine the state his cookie was in at that time.
On the stage, the lady shook her head to come back to her senses. She could not get emotional right now. The most important thing now was to take out the bullet from Xi Ting’s body.
She was on the field that time and didn’t have any time to transfer him to the hospital, so she performed the surgery on the spot. It was the most risky surgery she had performed as there was no disinfection and nothing else. No precautionary measure could be taken and the risk of getting infected was very high.
The lady still performed the surgery on the man and just as she sewed up his wound, a bullet came out of nowhere and hit her. This was the time when the man opened his eyes for a few seconds when he saw his best friend getting shot.
Maybe it was a god’s will that the man became conscious for just that period of time. His mouth shaped into the word Cookie, but no sound came out of his mouth when he saw her breaths getting shallow and stop.
Her heart stopped beating and the man fainted again of shock.
In the arena, Xi Ting’s face was filled with tears. Qin Yan also couldn’t stop crying. Both of them had faced death at that time. Qin Yan had faced her own death, while Xi Ting had faced the death of his loved one.
Normally, Xi Ting was a stoic man as if he did not have any feelings or emotions. But right now, he was crying like a child. This was the biggest blow that he had gotten in his life.
